Purpose of SafeDocs Documents

SafeDocs is a document generation tool that assists your compliance efforts by producing safety plans and programs prepared citing current OSHA standards and regulations. Our documents are designed to help roofing contractors and other construction professionals create written safety programs that address applicable regulatory requirements.

SafeDocs documents are not “OSHA certified” or “OSHA approved.” OSHA does not certify or endorse any third-party safety documents or services. Our documents are prepared citing current OSHA standards (including but not limited to 29 CFR 1926 Subparts M, D, E, I, X, and Z) to assist employers in meeting their compliance obligations.

Employer Responsibility

Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the employer retains full responsibility for workplace safety and health. This duty cannot be delegated to technology vendors, document generators, or any third party. SafeDocs is a tool — similar to how LegalZoom assists with legal document preparation but does not replace an attorney.

By using SafeDocs, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for reviewing every generated document for accuracy, completeness, and applicability to your specific job site conditions
  • You must customize documents to reflect actual hazards, equipment, procedures, and conditions present on each work site
  • Your designated Competent Person (as defined by OSHA) should review and approve all safety plans before implementation
  • You are responsible for implementing the safety procedures described in the documents and for training your employees accordingly
  • You must maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, which may impose requirements beyond what is addressed in any generated document

AI-Generated Content

SafeDocs documents are produced using artificial intelligence technology. While our system is designed to reference current OSHA standards and industry best practices for roofing and construction safety, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Generated documents should be treated as a professional starting point — not a finished product that can be used without review.

Not a Substitute for Professional Advice

SafeDocs is not a safety consulting firm, law firm, or engineering practice. The documents produced by our service do not constitute professional safety consulting, legal advice, or engineering recommendations. SafeDocs does not employ or represent licensed safety engineers, certified safety professionals (CSP), certified industrial hygienists (CIH), or OSHA compliance officers.

If your operations involve unusual hazards, complex multi-employer work sites, or if you have received OSHA citations, we recommend consulting a qualified safety professional in addition to using SafeDocs.

No Guarantee of Compliance or Acceptance

SafeDocs does not guarantee that any generated document will satisfy the requirements of any specific General Contractor, regulatory body, insurance carrier, or OSHA compliance officer. Compliance requirements vary by jurisdiction, project type, GC-specific policies, and the specific conditions of each work site. General Contractors may have safety submittal requirements that exceed OSHA minimums.

Limitation of Liability

SafeDocs, its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injuries, deaths, damages, losses, fines, citations, increased insurance premiums, lost contracts, or claims arising from the use or misuse of documents generated by this service. This limitation applies regardless of whether such damages are based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.

By purchasing or using any SafeDocs document, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this disclaimer in its entirety.
