How to Submit Lockout/Tagout Procedures in Procore

Guide for uploading your LOTO procedures to Procore for GC review and approval.

If your scope includes servicing, maintenance, or installation of machines and equipment where unexpected energization could cause injury, the GC will require your Lockout/Tagout procedures. Here's how to submit them in Procore.

Step-by-Step: Submitting in Procore

  1. 1

Log in to Procore and navigate to the Safety Documents section of your project.

  2. 2

    Upload your Lockout/Tagout Procedure PDF.

  3. 3

Include machine-specific LOTO procedures for each piece of equipment in your scope as appendices.

  4. 4

Tag the document with 'Lockout/Tagout' or 'LOTO' and reference 29 CFR 1910.147.

  5. 5

Submit for GC review. The GC may need to coordinate your LOTO procedures with other trades working on the same equipment.

  6. 6

Ensure your authorized employees are listed in Procore's project directory.

Tips for Approval

TIP

Machine-specific procedures are what GCs care about most — generic LOTO programs without equipment-specific procedures will be rejected.

TIP

Coordinate with the GC's LOTO coordinator to understand group lockout requirements when multiple trades are involved.

TIP

Include photos or diagrams of energy isolation points when possible.
